Second class have been learning about 3D shapes this week (the cube, cuboid, cylinder, cone and sphere). On Seesaw children sorted shapes into different categories and recorded their explanation as to why they sorted them the way they did. They went on a 3D shape hunt at home and took photos of their 3D find.
In SESE the children are learning about the weather, including Francis Beaufort, Anders Celsius and old weather sayings and what they tell us.
Children also did an ‘All About Me’ activity with a difference. The responses were in emoji form. The children also recorded themselves reading their emojis.
Children completed an interesting activity on Seesaw called ‘Tell me Tuesday’, where they wrote or voice recorded ‘One thing I Would Never Sell’. Responses varied from toy cars, a cow, a couch, a teddy, a doll, a charm bracelet, a doll, a PS 4, Lego and even a mom!
